Welcome to the Featured Photo page!
The purpose of this page is to highlight a particular image and possibly explain or expound upon the process of creating it. You see, we like a clean and easy-to-use website, and you can probably see that we've included very little clutter on most of the pages. The bare minimum to make our point.

But sometimes life is messy, and if we can use the metaphor of the website being like our house, then the featured photo is like the play room. Everyone needs a room where they can be a little free, a little weird, and to do things that don't always make sense. The featured photo is about having fun and being creative and telling a story. There are no rules- we will put up a photo every once in a while that either Chris or I took and talk about it. That's pretty much it.

This week's featured photo is one I took last week of my very good friend and professional triathlete hopeful, Susanne. After a five year break to birth and raise two beautiful girls, Allie and Emily, she decided that her calling in life was to return to triathalon racing. So, with her husband and girls rooting for her, she's taking a shot at fulfilling her dream to race professionally and possibly someday in the Olympics. So she trains and trains and trains. She has to be one of the fittest people I know- really, it's disgusting. Anyway, she's putting together a website about her dream of racing and inspiring people to do what they love with the help of Go Big Communications which is run by our friend and neighbor, Mike, and he in turn hired us to get some great shots of her doing her thang. This is her running across the causeway at the Boulder Res, guns a-blazing. I took this laying down in the grass next to a red ant colony with my husband and infant son nearby. I love that I was working and my kid and hubby were with me, and that we were hired by my friend to take pictures of another friend. Anyway, doesn't she just inspire you to get off the couch?! P.S. in her first race in five years, she won.
